Get ready for the perfect addition to your breakfast. This is the most decadent, delicious and cozy topping you'll ever eat. You can serve those sweet and gooey caramelized bananas over your oatmeal, golden bread, toast, chia pudding and basically everything else that crosses your mind.

  • 1 small banana
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp coconut oil for some extra taste or any unflavored vegetable oil


  • In a small bowl, slice the banana. I recommend that you don’t make them too thin because they will end up mushy. Half a centimeter for each slice should be fine. Gently add the maple syrup and the vanilla extract to coat them.
  • In a pan, heat up the oil over medium heat and add the maple syrup coated banana slices. Cook the banana until golden brown underneath, about 4-5 minutes. Gently flip and cook on the other side for about 1 minute.
