Chocolate Covered Almonds
Have you ever wondered how to make chocolate covered almonds? I first dipped the almonds into melted chocolate and then a mix of cocoa powder and cinnamon. Here's a step by step recipe that will guide you through the process. They are so good that you will likely end up saying goodbye to commercial versions.
- 1 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or other
- 3/4 cup raw almonds
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
In a first bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30 second intervals using the microwave.
In a second bowl, mix cocoa powder with the cinnamon and salt.
Dip a few almonds at a time in the chocolate. Pull them out using a fork and transfer them into the cocoa powder. Shake the bowl to cover them uniformly and then, transfer them in a jar.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until consumed.
