Easy Breaded Trout (or Salmon)
Looking to incorporate more fish into your diet or the diet of your children? Then check out this easy and delicious breaded fish recipe that is ready in less than 20 minutes. It is incredibly crispy and no frying is required. You can serve it with grilled vegetables, a salad and rice to obtain an explosion of flavors. Give it a try!
- 450 g trout (or salmon) thawed
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup finely grated medium cheddar
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon zest
- 1/4 tsp ground fennel seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a medium bowl, mix all the ingredients for the breading together. Spread the mixture evenly over the fish.
Bake for 12 minutes and then change the oven to broil for an extra minute, until the crust has become golden-brown.
Serve it with grilled vegetables, a salad and rice and enjoy!
