No Sugar Added Blueberry Jam
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy sugar filled jams from time to time. But, honestly I find that the natural taste of fruits is just as satisfying! This no sugar added blueberry jam is easy to make and will naturally sweeten your toasts, yogurt, or pancakes. Plus, you can easily swap out the blueberries for another fruit to add more variety to your diet. I'm sure it will rapidly become a kitchen staple for your fridge!
- 2 cups blueberries fresh or defrosted
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- Sweetener to taste (optional)
Blend the blueberries, more or less depending on the texture desired, smooth or chunkier.
Simmer for 3-5 min. Remove from the heat and fold in the chia seeds.
Let it cool down at room temperature. The jam will thicken up in 1-2 hours.
Enjoy on your bread, cookies, oatmeal or anything else that crosses your mind!
