Seitan Vegan Ground Beef
My new obsession with this recipe cannot be tamed. The texture and taste of this faux-meat is simply unbelievable. The next time you are looking for a less processed ground "beef" substitute compared to the commercially-available versions, try this recipe. It's super simple and insanely delicious!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups gluten flour
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/4 cup chickpea flour
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 5 garlic cloves minced
- 2 tbsp steak seasoning
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- In the meanwhile, place all the ingredients into a food processor. Pulse until a hard dough is formed and ends up spinning around the post.
- Transfer the dough into the water pot and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Drain the dough and transfer it back into the food processor. Pulse until coarsely ground.
- Incorporate it into your favorite recipes just like any regular ground meat and enjoy!
